Methodology

SMECalculator.com calculators use explicit user inputs, documented formulas and, where supported, scenario analysis. Results are estimates designed for planning and comparison rather than substitutes for professional advice.

Universal calculators rely on standard finance and management-accounting formulas. Country-specific tax, payroll and formation tools use versioned parameters and source metadata where available. If a rule cannot be resolved reliably, the engine is designed to return a warning or an unknown status rather than silently inventing a value.

How results are built

Each calculator separates inputs, calculation logic and output formatting. Scenario-enabled tools apply controlled changes to relevant assumptions and preserve the Base case for comparison. Reports display the calculator, market and engine version used at the time of generation.

Limitations

Benchmarks, tax rules, payroll rules and filing costs can depend on location, period, business form and facts not captured by a calculator. Country-specific results should therefore be treated as screening or planning estimates.
